Last night while walking Eli, the two of them had a collision after talking with some folks passing by and Alice hit the street face first. We spent some 4 hours in the emergency room to make sure there was no major damage and thankfully there was not.
This picture was last night. I am sure she'll thrash me for putting it on the blog, but it is hard to describe this kind of "yuck" to people. The other picture is much even more telling. But again, we are thankful that it was not any worse. She does have some dental work that needs to be done, she chipped and jammed her upper teeth. So we'll attend to that tomorrow when she is not in quite so much discomfort.
I know she will appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear of the misfortune.
It was Alice & Eli that caused this, huh? So that's your story and your stickin' to it.
Please keep the pictures coming as I guess she will look worse before she is back to her beautiful self again. How's Eli?

absolutely!!!! That's my story. Although I was expecting the team from Law and Order to come walking in the emergency room at any time!
Bless her heart, she did add to meaning to "hitting the pavement"!
Thanks for calling her. We have had calls from friends and family and that's been wonderful.
Yikes! That does not look fun.
No it was not fun, but she is getting better. The dentist found more damage to her teeth than we had originally thought. However, he can't do the work until the swelling goes down.
What joy.... But as we have discussed on numerous occasions, it could have been much worse.
We are thankful.
