Hot in the North Carolina

It's been big time HOT in the Charlotte region the past few days. We did manage to get out this morning and visit the local "farmers market" in downtown Matthews. Alice picked up some fresh picked Yukon Spuds for potato salad and a nice size Zuchini for Zuchini cake. Then we made our way over to the local hardware store. It's one of those kind where a guy like me could spend the day. Everything is everywhere. Every size nut and bolt you could imagine; wrenches big enough to turn nut on the biggest earth mover; live chicks; odds and ends of every kind; you name, it looks like they had it!

We then went to nice little restaraunt for breakfast. From there, we made our way over to a Classic Car and Motorcycle show. As most of you know, we don't have a "toy" any more. We sold our last one, the Vette, a few months ago when we bought Alice's Buick. So we're kinda looking around. But just looking!!! It was fun to see some real classics at this show. I think my favorites were the Buick GS series. Similar to this one

Then we did some shopping for "decorative" stuff for the house and headed home and out of the heat. Guess we're wimps! :(
